Just a quick update :) Added 50ppi sponge to sump this weekend, cleared everything up quite a bit :) there's still a grey haze to the water, but I think I'll take your advice and let it sort out on its own:)

    UV sterilizer

Hi again, thanks for the tips :) That filter looks interesting. I bought some 50ppi filter sponge 50x50x5cm I can cut to size and fit in the sump, there's room anyways, can double the layer so the 50ppi matt will be 10cm thick, you think that will do the trick? I just hope it won't clog up too...

    UV sterilizer

Hi Zozo, Thank you very much :) Well always is the tanks life span 6month, I've always noticed it, and always wondered when it would go away, or if it would on its own. That's why I was curious if UV could help me out I wouldn't say the tank is heavily stocked, but 50 cardinal tetras, 25...

What Leds should I use for Diy?

Oh I see, :-) very good answer! I can see the u turn being a problem when it's a planted tank, due to photosynthesis plant release oxygen and air bobles start bouncing around in the tank and will eventually get sucked up or and maybe after some time break the Syphon, don't you think that will be...

What Leds should I use for Diy?

Yes thanks :) I don't want to drill the tank really.. And im sure i have a 54l starter kit somewhere :D! The Syphon overflow looks interesting, i want it dead quiet, what is the difference on a durso overflow type and this? Yes if I'm understanding this correctly. In case of a power cut, there...

What Leds should I use for Diy?

Looks like a fun challenge :-D! Will do some research in sump setup. Why didn't I think much about a sump huh.. I thought about a sump in the past. I think the only reason I haven't tried it yet is because I'm too scared of drilling in the glass in the main tank. But maybe I won't have to? Do...

What Leds should I use for Diy?

Yes you're right can't beat that price :-)! What Leds should I use for Diy?

Hello all :-) I was thinking of making a Diy lamp in clear acrylic/plexi. With holes drilled in for the LEDs and 120° lenses. But i really don't know what types of led's I should order for that project? I was thinking about ~6000-6500kelvin. And maybe having 20-30 led's of 0.5-1w each, then I...

    Kessil A150W "Amazon Sun" review

I just wanted to follow up on this, I ordered the 90degree adaptor, that made a nice difference! I think it raised the lamp about 20cm extra. All the big sword leafes are blocking the light a bit, also a bit dark photo :p but I deffently got more light out to the corners Plenty of light for 74l

Lots of sun light yea. I recently moved to my girlfriends apartment, so tank got a bright spot. There is however some dimming stuff on the windows. No the sun light wasnt a problem until I changed my co2 bottle and co2 went slightly down. Then with much light things go fast in the wrong...

Hey Its a lovely led lamp! Light is still amazing and plants grow fast under it :-)! Only thing I can complain about is the gooseneck not beeing "long" enough. Led light for 72l tank

Few weeks back I had co2 running 24/7 which worked fine :-) I just figured that I could get the double out of my 6kg co2 bottle, if it only was running half the time :-) and also starts 6 hours before lights on to be sure theres enough co2 in the tank when lights on. Didnt do any adjustments on...

He did nothing but changed the tubes. Month after algaes gone and plant growth was back to normal.. His t5 tubes was...
