    AGA 2008 Convention write-up

*Thinks of a naughty quip about showing them his spraybar* I'll leave it. I love Jason Baliban's work. Really inspirational stuff, and his site is great. Must've been amazing to see Amano 'scape in person.

Sure there is a limit to that... *Hooks up an FX5 to 12" nano*

Money no Object – Space is

Can't see any point in going to the hard work of putting in a sump, especially as this is going to be a relatively small tank. Any large filter under the tank will suffice. Get a nice rimless opti-white, nice stand (whatever you like really, ADA style or integrated into your furniture) Full...

    IAPLC 2009

I'm definitely going for this. *Hears all aquascapers shake in their boots* Sure there will be a great turn out from Blighty next year.

What do you do with fish that you no longer want?

Personally, I don't see a problem with taking fish to a shop for any reason. As long as I know the employees won't be re-selling them to an idiot who will mistreat them. I have given some fish to my local MA before and I know they only ever start to discuss fish with people once they know some...

    My latest tank...

Those braces can be annoying when hardscaping. Can't wait for this to get going, sure it will be a stunner.

    50% w/c daily?

Can't really see it hurting. Great for plants, like super EI :D If you're concerned about the filter bacteria or anything, I wouldn't waste time worrying mate. Even if, for some reason it did affect it. Any remote build up of ammonia will get flushed out with the next WC before it could do any...

    No PFK planted tank contest?

Last year when I was first starting out with planted tanks, I remember in PracticalFishkeeping Magazine George Farmer judged a contest. Nothing this year? Could've done with that years supply of TPN  How about maybe a UKAPS 'scape of the month or something? Guess perhaps we don't really...

How often do you have your hands in

Every other day now average. Its usually just to neaten up the sand front. Dont need to trim stems much lately, they're becoming very compact. Glosso trimming is being a hassle though. Yes... I do regret using that plant

    Dusko's Aquatic Wardrobe ;-)

Thats really nice man, great tanks with lovely fish. The scapes remind me of Nature Aquarium Book 2, real old school Amano :D Just feel terrible now though... Can't believe I did something as dumb as putting clothes in my wardrobe!!

Are there any great female aquascapers?

Too busy washing their hair and applying a bit of slap.... *waits for the barrage of 'sexist pig' comments* Think it's exactly what bugs said, us blokes just like showing off and this seems like its just another niche market for us to stroke our ego's. Good ain't it. hehe

    zigs tank

Not at all impressed with the top 5 TBH except for no.3. Thats superb... only because its a design I though about a couple of weeks back to myself  Like a bonsai on a cliff side. Love zig's v2. much more 'hard' looking with the stone coming right up to the front. really cool.

    Some lfs dont know jack!!!!

Have some 'OK' LFS in my area. Small family run shop in North Wembley with Tropica plants and ferts, although they don't really have any idea what they're selling. MA@wembley have some JBL range but don't know what they're really talking about. Guy tried selling me a pH controller after he told...
