3 months later, an update? well holiday was a fail and got stuck in the carribian for an extra week, such a hard life due to the volcaino, but scuba diving makes you wanna go marine♥ but im staying faithful to planted tanks, for now so ill get round to buying a filter in the next few weeks...

the tank i got was rimless, it came with a naff plastic lid which im not using, the clearseal range dont have plastic bits at the top, the larger ones have glass braces going allong the sides

if your having trouble with hc i realy would recomend easycarbo... i dose arround 5 ml and its cleaned up all the alge in there in just short of 3 weeks.... normaly i wouldnt recomend things like that but it actualy works and as for the external.... i sold the lily pipes on here & im just going...

well.... the bylxa melted, i blame greenmachine for it being in the post from norway for like a week :( so, i got some from another member on here :) & its planted :) and this is a new one on the right, one from greenmachine on left thanks tim

the plants are here!!!! about time, blyxa could be in better condition but as long as it lives im happy :) now for pictures.... i cant belive how small they are, but the blyxa should grow to 20cm ish, and Rotala sp 'green' should grow to 40cm cristism good as usual tim edit.... hc cuba...

it's working the guy from aquaessentials emailed me saying "sometimes the impella gets stuck, nock it with something when its on" thought, sounds dangerous.... lets do it :lol: took a while of loud noises of the impella eating my tweezers but its working :)

well ive put it running for 2 mins now, and the water in the inlet pipe is lower than the water level... great :roll: --edit--- it hasnt spring to life.... i think its just dead and the impeller vibrates round a little, doesnt go all the way round? hard to explain and ive emaild and rang...

yes i 1st tried it on the line exactly, then slightly above and neither worked :/

i got one of these filters for my little 3 gallon tank from aquaessentials. thing is, the little motor doesnt have enough power to suck water up the intake tube so i cant get it working.... anyone help please? thanks tim

at the moment im only using a fluval 2 plus, but its not brand new, i put some old filter media in there from my little tank to cycle it quciker.... i should be getting tetratec ex600 in a couple of weeks to go with my new lily pipes:)

well.... my tank has been setup for about week now, and it started with crystal clear water, and then i moved the redmoor wood arround a bit and chaos broke out..... and the water has slightly improved but still couldy :evil: how to fix this or is it just a waiting game? thanks :)

small update. plants didnt come saturday as i was pridicting... not happy, hopefully they will come tomorow and, ive changed my mind again, i want an external as i orderd some lilly pipes a while ago, eventualy came this morning, and wow are they pretty, compaired to the black box but i cant...

smalll update got some guppies today, only 3 to keep the bacteria going (i put some old filter media over) and tied a rock under the wood, and now i hate it :lol: :lol: going to order 3 bunches of Blyxa japonica and 2 pots of Rotala sp.`green` tomorow when i eventualy get paid :) £27.70...

busy plant.... and to cover the filter, the Blyxa japonica will go infront of the busy plant my planns anyway, "best laid plannes of mice and men often go ariy" media gcse lol edit.... filling up took 3 hours using drip method, does it show with my crystal clear water :P

im having Blyxa japonica, flame moss if i de bug it or buy more somewere else and maybe another busy plant, notsure what tho :| and im having crs and endlers as tank mates help for plants would be amazing guys :)
