    Jase's 28l Long/Shallow - "Attrition"

Cheers Andy. Yep, I'm so pleased I stuck with it. Will try and get an FTS later but for now, i'm off down the golf course  I still have Cherries in this tank but they don't go near the UG. There is something about that corner that they, and all other plants I have put there, don't like...

    MY RENEW TANK 96L

Hi Minh, the tank looks like a good start, how about some hemianthus micranthemoides behind the driftwood, it's a nice delicate and vibrant stem  What is it you have planted in the foreground?

    Jase's 28l Long/Shallow - "Attrition"

    Jase's 28l Long/Shallow - "Attrition"

Hi Lisa, with the larger WCs I dosed as normal. I changed say on Sunday adding normal Macro dose after, Monday add normal Trace dose, then WC on Tues adding normal Macro dose after, Weds add normal Trace dose, etc. When I say 'normal' Trace dose, i mean a triple dose, as usual  UG...

Bobtastic's Iwagumi Scape - 12 Rummy Nosed Tetras Added

Re: Bobtastic's Iwagumi Scape  Obviously no offence meant to yourself or other Iwagumi-ers. I appreciate they are an art form, I just think they lack the interest to the eye that a NA scape does :D

Bobtastic's Iwagumi Scape - 12 Rummy Nosed Tetras Added

Re: Bobtastic's Iwagumi Scape The second would be good with the addition of more, smaller rocks around the larger two. Think saintly's MA shop tank with stems behind. viewtopic.php?f=35&t=6787&start=160 However, as you're going for Dullagumi :silent: *takes cover* the original is a good...

    Jase's 28l Long/Shallow - "Attrition"

Re: Jase's 28l Long - "Attrition" Rare update from me. This tank has kicked the blahblahblahblah out of me and has been duly named 'Attrition' meaning 'wearing down to weaken or destroy' - it almost beat me  I got bored shortly after the last update and left the tank to its own devices leading to even...

Bobtastic's Iwagumi Scape - 12 Rummy Nosed Tetras Added

    NeilW's 30cm Iwagumi - 'Mono'

Re: NeilW's 30cm nano - 'Mono' (updated 12/8) The tank looks great - that moss looks fantastic 8) I still feel that the lines of the main stone aren't right though, i think it needs rotating anti clockwise to tie in with the smaller one at the front or perhaps a plant or some moss between...

    gcpenn's ADA 60H 45 CO2 Disaster Update

Re: gcpenn's ADA 60H 45 journal. Instant aquascape, just add water! That wood is great and that has got to be the best looking CO2 cannister I've seen 8) It's quite hectic in there, I must say, this is why i'm not a real fan of vallis

    22 Gallon Upgrade, First Journal!

I can echo a good start but I think you need more plants to help you. I would suggest either getting rid of the frogs or changing the water more frequently, they will be polluting a lot and could contribute to your algae problems
  13. J

    Andrew's 90cm

With this I agree but I also think there are only a handful of people who could take constructive critique. There're two types of aquascaper. Those people who strive for perfection and move from scape to scape in order to improve. And then those that want an attractive aquarium. On a couple of...

Re: Saintly's 120cm' Fraggle rock' after a break Hi Mark, I have to admit I don't find this as exciting as your usual 'just add water' aquascapes  but I appreciate you wanted low maintenance and you're not here to please my eyes 8) Your photography is dramatic and stunning, i love it...

Re: NeilW's 30cm nano - "Mono" [Hardscaped 29/04/10] I want to like it more than I do, I can see why everyone is singing its praises, but for me it looks very unnatural. The 'lines' (strata) on the different rocks don't follow each other and the one at the back is facing in the opposite...

    60cm nature scape v2

 Mine grow fairly quickly too If you're rescaping anyway, you could try trimming most of the leaves off the crypts in the middle, to reveal your hardscape again. Also, how do you trim your lilaeopsis? Like grass? I tried that in my pico and it just stuck it's fingers up at me and died
  34. J

    60cm nature scape v2

Full to bursting  It looks great Do you trim your crypts? I've found they respond really well to cutting off the taller leaves, chucking out nice new growth and bushing out at the base. This gets rid of the 'need' for plants to cover up the stems  Are you planning on keeping...

    Island Pico

I think the island needs to be more solid than Naturesoil (like you say, wabi-kusa type balls), possibly sat on or surrounded by a base of rocks to hold the shape. Re: Jase's 28l Long - NOW PLANTED Update Day 17 (Saturday) We have new wood! JamesM and Saintly sorted me out with some nice Manzi wood pieces, which took between 24 and 36 hours to sink, this stuff is awesome - cheers fellas I've added yet more Crypt moehlmanii from my big tank to bulk out...

    Andyh's - Dragon Beach

Looking good Andy, although I have a feeling you'll be losing a lot of your hardscape again, with the way your plants grow  Also, have to agree with Flygja, the 50:50 is slightly distracting - though a little over critical :geek:

    'Deep Rooted' - Andyh's 35l Nano

Someone's getting good at this... That's a great picture, really puts into perspective that this is a small tank. The frontal photos make it seem a lot bigger than it really is
