Did 3 30% water change overnight and the shrimp appeared to be behaving normally again. So far only lost one hinomaru CRS out of the 11 that I've got. They are swimming normally but doesn't appear to be grazing as usual yet. Might do another water change now and see how things improve.

Agreed with garuf here. There is no need to restart all over again just because it's ugly. Keeping planted tank will mean that you will have to keep up with some ugliness of the tank one time or another whether it's a snail infestation or algae outbreak. Rebooting the tank from the start...

Probably just a normal glass shrimp. Glass shrimp do have pincer and they often came in the same shipment in amano japonica shrimp. If they are kept over a year and didn't grow more than 2 inches long then probably it's just that.
