they wont send to this country because of the reason pointed out above. we have a supplier, so they cant take our suppliers buisness.
to be honest its not any more cost to get the stuff from TGM. they are more expensive because of the shipping tax ect that they have to add to the price.
they...
Re: How to clean mineral deposit of a running tank and lilie
i use vinegar. its never caused any problems that i am aware of. i just give them a good rinse after
its allways a great feeling when adding the first fish to an aquascape :D
i would say that that stocking is fine. i would add a few more cardinals though. maybe 10. they like to be in groups
i chucked a load of HM and a bit of rotala sp. green in a little tank on my windowsill and its grown emersed very quickly even with no top on the tank. its got and inch or so of plain gravel and the water level is just to the top of the gravel. i mist it every so often but i am sure it would be...
IMO you cant beat shrimps. if you get some cherrys in there they will breed like mad and they constantly clean :D
ottos are good glass cleaners which are reccomended too. i also have a SAE which is entertaining, they should be kept in groups though.
i was looking for some live bacteria to help my filter mature quicker when i came across this

seems very cheap in comparison to tetra...
looks great around there :D the moss on the last pic lookslike zipper moss. i love the look of that moss. we dont get it here. i should'nt imagine it would ship well ether. a whole carpet of the stuff would be amazing!
my area is a very hard water area and i cant seem to get rid of the water marks left around the water line. and also on my lilies.
do you know any good ways of getting rid of them? :D
forgot about that dave cheers
here is another good bit of info
http://www.adana.co.jp/nabook09/index_en.html
click on the bits at the bottom of the page
i am allways looking for websites with good information on, so i can learn more and cant seem to find many.
i woundered if you guys know of any good website with great tips on?
heres one i found http://www.aquajournal.net/na/layout/006/index.html it has some priceless information on there :D...
ahh this one had the bit on
the part in the middle goes in the hole in the FE to create a seal. but the sodastream dont have the hole so cant go on as far. thats the best i can explain it
i just bought one of them tiny regs for it so will let you know how it does. i am sure it will fit though
i will see if i can find a picture so i can explain better
they work on the advanced hyodr but not the cheaper one as they are smaller. i cant say how long they lasted tbh because they reg started leaking through the ajuster and sometimes lasted a week others a month but thats with a leak. that was on a 30l nano at about 1bps but it would last a lot...
i use them bottles  they are sodastream ones they are 22mm which is the same size as an FE but they would not fit onto my aquamedic reg because the thread starts further down the bottleso they could not connect at all. i did use them on my hydor reg and they are good for the price
for a tank that size i would use the same scale as i would in a tank half that size. i dont think bigger tanks should have the same size stone as smaller ones. i dont know if that helps  but its just my opinion. i see that you are planning on using big stones i would aim for the main stone...
i have never had the nano but people say they are silent :D
and i would place it on the laft hand side towards the front. face it down toward the foreground. i would also place your diffuser underneath it when you get it to spread the co2 around the tank
i think that would be a good number as they dont produce much waste and as long as you fed them planty they will be ok. if you want you could only add 3 or 4 but they are happier in bigger groups.
are you sure you drop check is correct?if your not sure take take a look at the article section at...
first off welcome to the forum.
i hope we can sort you algae problem out as your tanks looks quite nice
the algae looks like Rhizoclonium which by james guide (http://www.theplantedtank.co.uk/algae.htm) is down to lack of co2 which is the cause of most aglae.
What is your...

when i win the lottery...............
when my reg i bought (second hand) was leaking i emailed then telling them the problem and that is was from ebay and they sent me a new one :D
great service
personally id have bigger groups of less different varietys of plants so for example half your list but double the amounts of each plant as it can make a tank look un-organised
which kind of setup did you want to go for? low tech(ferns, anubias mosses) or high tech(in which you can grow nearly any plant)
i prefer high tech as it gives you more options on your scapes but does cost more as you will need high lighting co2 and with all planted tanks fertilizers
just thought id say how good the service from hydor was when i had a problem with my reg
my reg started leaking and using up alot of co2 so i emailed them about the problem and they sent me a new reg co2 bottle and bubble counter which i was not expecting. they have been good resonding and...

sound like co2 to me but im not sure about it
i think if fish like otos wouldnt go to the surface if they had lack of oxygen i found that i had lack of oxygen yaers ago with corys and the didnt go to the suurface
sounds good. i was thinking if a puffer would eat shrimp as i thought they have teeth. id like to see the puffer i was very interested in getting some a while ago.
i got it from ebay last week just looking around didnt really need it tbh but thought i might use if for something and now i am. its real good, has a good reflector and the bulbs were hi-glo ones worth about £15 each.
i think iwagumis look better lower but i agree that this style look good...

hi all i am looking for a cheap 60cm tank (cheap because im skint) and wanted a braceless one. like the clearseal ones. Although these would be idea i am worried the won't be deep enough (back to front) as the only size they do are 24x12x12,does anyone know where i can buy one deeper?
iv seen some fire bellied newts for sale at a lfs they look quite cool and you could do a nice scape for them too as in half plants emmersed and half immersed could make it look real good
i think luminaires look better than hoods imo and have a good output, iv been looking recently and theres loads of 2ft ones second hand but cheap look on oodle.co.uk and aquarist-classifieds.co.uk they have some on there if u want one
thanks
apparently you could use easycarbo which is quite cheap iv never tried just easycarbo so im not sure tho.
you can just buy another one the same as you get lyk this guy http://ukaps.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=3899&start=10#p43344
a small one would be something like an eheim 2213 they are...
the arc tank normally come with a 9 or 11w light but most people add another one as most carpet plants need high light else they will start to grow upwards rather than along the bottom and form a nice carpet. you should deffinatly use substrate id would recomend a fertile one like ada aquasoil...
yes i see what u mean i was thinking about that myself the second one is 20in deep which is more than mine but i should be able to work around it somehow, i think most people like the first one so i think ill go for that kinda style i will be adding my own bits too it tho and it wont look the...
iv got some plants in mind which i can grow well in it at the minuet, suprisingly even with the low light my tank seems to be able to grow almost every plant iv tried so far althought iv got some aromatica which is growing but not rooting does any1 know why or does it just need a root tab?
thanks
yerr i was thinking of basing it around both as i like the rotala sp. green in the second one but i like the rock formation of the first, i think if i used rotala sp.green though id use a darker colour rock as i dont think it would look right.
thanks
hi im planning on a rescape on my 80l and for the past few days iv been looking for inspiration on the internet and have found 2 scapes tht i really like and dont know which one i would like to base mine around heres one
i really like rocks in this one and i belive it was an amano scape

Mr LC Chan and Alex Chan demostrated the use of ADA by setting up a planted aquarium. Size of the aquarium used was 36inch (long) x 20inch (wide) x 20inch (tall). this is one of my favorite tanks...
